Heart. Greek:
Kardia = Centre of will, the hidden person, seat of the inward life,
mind, intellect and understanding. The soul life, thoughts and morality
feelings.
"If you confess (acknowledge and express) with your mouth,
the Lord Jesus Christ, and believe (have faith and entrust) in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved (delivered,
protected, preserved, healed and made whole). For with the heart we
believe there is righteousness (justice, innocence, acquittal and
equity) and with the mouth confession is made for salvation," -
Romans 10:8-9.
"Now they were pricked (pierced or agitated) in their hearts
and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, men and bretheren what
shall we do? Then Peter said to them, repend (transform or change
your mind ) and be baptised (made fully wet or washed) every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (freedom,
forgiveness, deliverance and liberty) of sins (offence, crime or
missing the mark) and you shall recieve the gift (offering)
of the Holy Ghost (pure brerath, breeze, vital principal pof the
divine presence)," - Acts 2:37.
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the
heart of humanity the things that God has prepared for those that love
him," - 1 corinthians 2:9.
"...the hidden man of the
heart...is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet
spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price," - 1 Peter
3:4.
"For if our hearts condemn
us, God is greater than our hearts, and knows all things," - 1 John
3:20.
"(God) has also sealed us,
and given us the earnest (downpayment / deposit) of the Spirit in
our hearts," - 2 Corinthians 1:22.
"Create in me
a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me," - Psalm
51:10
A
prick in the heart?
