THE DANCER
Wild elemental child,
strangely distracted
by the touch and smell of life itself;
A melodic hum warms the air
vibrating in his chest
stirring ancient things.
A tune from David's harp
quieting the voices in his head.
Amid conflicting rhythms the Dancer
weaves a luminescent web.
Fields of synchrony
replace fear and resistance.
The rhythm of hope displaces
the discord of distance.
Violent ripples tug at his being.
Inner electricity seeking
understanding from the patterns
dreamers and choreographers translate. >>
