Heart:
Gr = Kardia. The centre of the will, the hidden inner person / seat of
the inward life, the mind or intellect, understanding or soul life,
thoughts and morality feelings.
Restoration:
Make amends / restitution, finish, make complete, restore, repair, mend,
join together, made, deliver, recompense, to be at peace, reconstitute
in health, home or organisation.
”If
you confess (acknowledge /
express) with your mouth
Jesus is Lord and believe (have
faith, trust and confidence)
in your heart that God raised him from the dead you shall be saved (delivered,
protected, preserved, healed, made whole).
For with the heart you believe and are justified (made
righteous or innocent, acquitted and equal)
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved,” Romans
10:9-10

they had helped put Jesus to death and how he fulfilled the Old
Testament scriptures through his life and resurrection)
they were cut (pricked,
pierced / agitated) in
their hearts and said to Peter and the other apostles, ‘Brothers what
shall we do?’ Peter replied repent (have
a fundamental childlike transformation of your mind / change your mind /
amend and turnaround) and
be baptised (made fully wet
/ washed) every one of you
in the name of Jesus Christ (the
anointed saviour of God)
for the forgiveness (freedom
/ remission / deliverance / liberty
) of your sins (offence /
crime ancient archery term for missing the mark)
and you shall receive the gift (offering)
of the Holy Spirit ( pure
breath, breeze, vital principal of the divine presence).
This promise is for you and your children and for all those who are far
off – for all whom the Lord our God will call,” Acts 2:37.
