REAP THE WILD HARVEST

Someone once wisely said:
You can never be truly content
if you want for anything.
I only want to be content
therefore my desire
is keeping me from my goal.
The heaviness in my soul
is the weight of my desire
holding me back.

I want longsuffering
that doesn’t involve suffering or longing
I ask too much, and in letting go,
find rewards begin to flow.
Not by my effort any more
something at the core
is reaping a wild harvest.
